It getting to look a lot like Christmas & Confucius sketch
[info]dream_finder wrote in [info]woodparents
It's almost Christmas and the weather is getting colder outside. With all the decorating going on, Dreamfinder wanted to put on his Christmas outfit and have his picture taken.

Of course, he loved his Christmas picture so much, he insisted that I make it my icon. :)

Here is one of the sketches of Confucius I gave to Bob:

As ideas came to me I started to jot them down on the side. I have another sketch that has a more finalized version of Confucius, but unfortunately I don't have it on my computer yet. I do however, have a picture of Bob working on his head with the picture on the desk:

Early Christmas Kitty
[info]thessur wrote in [info]woodparents
The little hatchling cat I got for my sister arrived safely. I couldn't wait till Christmas to give it to her, especially after seeing how she was longingly eye-balling my boys. So I wrapped it up real fast and gave it to her yesterday. She's been walking around the house with it ever since. The kitty looks lovely. I'll take some pictures later. She's named her Bliss. Having seen one in person now, I really want one of the hatchling creatures myself. I'll probably wait until I can afford the custom fox-dragon I've been planning though.

Promised pictures

Here are the promised pictures of my new woodbabies. Sorry it took me so long but time and the weather haven't been cooperating with me. Neither woodbaby has told me their name yet, but then again I haven't really had time to ask them.

Here's my wonderful crystal Frightmare. The claws on his wings are done in gold and I love that he has a little dark blue patch at the end of his tail:
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e252/dream_finder/101E0205.jpg

The Sabertooth looks so much more awesome in person than he did in the picture. I had no idea that his tail was free of the cable or that he had a scar over his left eye. I think that I might add a wire to his tail and some whiskers to him in the future:
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e252/dream_finder/101_0156.jpg

This is a close-up of the Sabertooth's scarred eye. The eye has pearly white paint ringing the outside edge of the eye so it looks like the eye itself is damaged:

Hey Gang

Sorry i have not been on here in recent weeks but life has been kicking me hard. The next show the team will be at will be the Hoggtowne fair in Gainesville FL then after that will be Bay fair in Tampa FL. we are planning on staying local a bit next year and will also be going to as many conventions as we can such as Megacon and maybe Metrocon.

As on my Charms side i have some wicked stuff on the table im working out. I do have some necklaces that will be showing up at hoggtowne as well as some hats that some of you saw me working on during Bay fair of this year. Come Bay fair i will have a new product that will make the babies look awesome and i cant wait to bring it out. i might post a teaser photo soon. i just dont want anyone taking the idea i have away from me so soon since i feel my job has been tested a little bit.

I have gone out there to get amazing pieces for my artwork to where im charging less then what i spent on one pendant so the woodbabies can show off the bling. with the items i will be putting out will range from $5-$10 depending what the item is and what had to go into it. all my necklaces are $5 but for a few that are a little more high class. the other stuff i have coming is still being worked out. Also keep an eye one the web site. Master Bob should be putting some of my stuff up so you can get it through him. keep in mind i rarely make the same thing twice so its all pretty much one of a kind.

thats it for now

I ran across this older Jhari with foam wings on ebay. It has maroon and tan fur with a black body and red eyes.

c: So we're all settled in now, and my baby's pretty much taken control of my room. It was quite funny as soon as I opened the box I got an exact sound of what his name should be. We started at Turin, and after much fishing around have finally come to a conclusion.

Pictures behind the cut~ )

I was reading through Mercutia (Read it here: http://alscye.deviantart.com/art/Mercutia-part-1-82453273) for the first time in a long time and I doodled up some concept art of what the Babies might look like in that world.

I thought you all might like to see them :3

Since my baby wasn't really a custom job, it didn't take them long to put him together.

He came in the mail today. <3 I have to go to work, like, right now though, so I'll take some pictures later! He's happily found a home on top of the TV until I get back~

Yay :DDDD

Notification System
[info]mhwest wrote in [info]lj_maintenance
**FINAL EDIT Thu Dec 10 02:15:47 UTC 2009**

So there is the final update... Over the past day we have processed around 11 million jobs out of the 12 million that were in queue at that time. Please bear in mind that over this past day, more jobs for notifications are also created. So while the queue has been dropping, we are still not fully caught up at this point, due to backlog and new jobs. We have roughly 3 million jobs still pending that involve the notification system in some manner. We had hoped we could have fully cleared the queue in a day, but unfortunately we can't clear it too quickly, since we need the rest of the site to operate normally. From our current perspective on the amount of jobs that are left in queue, and how many it has processed thus far, we believe it will take around another 8 - 12 hours to process everything.

And finally some answers to some questions:
